We access public YouTube data through the YouTube Data API v3 without requiring user authentication. This includes:

Channel statistics and metadata
Video titles, descriptions, and engagement metrics

This data is retrieved in real-time and may be temporarily cached for up to 30 days to optimize performance. We do not permanently store YouTube API data.

1.2 Information You Provide

When using our Service, you may provide:

Text or data entered to configure analysis and slide generation
YouTube channel URLs or identifiers to analyze

This data is processed only for the purpose of generating reports and deleted automatically within 30 days.

1.3 Information from Google Services

When you connect your Google Account, we access limited personal information, including:

Name
Email address
Profile image (if available)

This information is used solely for authentication, associating generated files with your Google Drive, and displaying your account name in the app interface. We do not use it for advertising or analytics.

1.4 Device and Local Storage Information

We only use essential cookies required for the website to function, specifically session cookies for authentication. We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

Analyze YouTube channels and generate insights
Create and update presentations in your Google Drive via the Google Slides API
Optionally write structured data to Google Sheets
Maintain and improve our Service using anonymized usage logs (stored for up to 30 days)

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

3.1 Internal Access

Only authorized Astra Media personnel with a legitimate operational need may access user data (e.g., for debugging or support). Access is logged and monitored.

3.2 External Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or Google API data with advertisers, analytics providers, or other third parties. Data may be disclosed only:

With your explicit consent
To comply with legal obligations or valid legal processes
To protect our rights or investigate abuse

5. Data Retention and Deletion

YouTube API data is retained for no more than 30 days, after which it is automatically deleted.
Usage logs (non-personal operational data) are stored securely on AWS and purged every 30 days.
If you revoke app access or delete your account, all remaining data will be deleted within 30 days.

You can revoke our access anytime through your Google Security Settings.

6. Data Security

We use:

Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
Secure token handling
Access controls and authentication mechanisms
Periodic security audits

Your Google account credentials are never stored on our servers.

7. Calculated Data Disclaimer

Optimized, Algorithmic Impact, Engagement Influence, and Content & Format Utilization percentages are independently calculated by Astra Media and not directly sourced from the official YouTube platform.

Access or export your personal data
Correct inaccurate information
Request data deletion
Revoke Google API access permissions
